The sport of bow fishing continues to grow in popularity and the Illinois River leads the way. In addition to Grass Carp, Buffalo and Gar, the Illinois River has a significant population of Silver Carp or more commonly referred to as the Asian Carp. These Silver Carp propel themselves from the water creating fast and exciting bow fishing action....some refer to this as bow fishing's version of skeet shooting.
